Peter Krivda








Peter Krivda was born in Slovakia in 1969. 
He is a leading viola da gamba player of his generation in Slovakia. During his studies at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava he started to study viola da gamba and Baroque cello at the Academy of Ancient Music of Masaryk University in Brno with Thomas Fritzsch and Pierre Pitzl. 
After studying with Cristophe Coin at The Highest Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris he performed with ensembles of Early Music such as Musica Aeterna, Musica Florea, Collegium Marianum, Musick for a while… with whom he recorded and toured the broadest repertoire ranging from Early Music to the latest contemporary music. 
He lives currently in Catalonia (Spain) where he has perfected himself with Jordi Savall, Sophie Watillon and Bruno Cocset at the postgraduate studies and recently he finished his Master at the High School of Music in Catalonia, Barcelone (ESMUC) with Emmanuel Balssa. 
He teaches and performs with several directors and soloists such as: Christophe Coin, Christophe Rousset, Manfred Huss, Olivier Schneebeli, Pierre Cao, Jordi Savall, Eduardo López Banzo, Ottavio Dantone, Joan Grimalt, Lisa Besnosiuk, Malcolm Bilson, Simon Standage, Stephen Stubbs, Marek Štryncl, Jana Semerádová, Václav Luks, Peter Zajíček, etc…
